Every Step, Carefully Planned

How Our Moving
Process Works

From the first enquiry to unloading at the destination, the moving plan is built around the locations, inventory, access, timing and services required for your move.

The Move at a Glance

The full process has more detail, but every move starts with the same three decisions: what is being moved, what help is required, and how the items will travel from the pickup property to the destination. These steps give you the quick version before we break each stage down.

Share the Move Details

Tell us the origin, destination, property or business type, preferred moving date and approximate inventory. Access details such as floors, lifts, stairs, parking and loading points help show what the move will involve before the scope is confirmed.

Confirm What the Move Includes

Once the main details are clear, confirm which items are moving and whether packing, unpacking, loading support or storage is required. Anything you plan to carry yourself should stay separate from the agreed moving inventory.

Move, Unload and Place the Items

On moving day, the agreed inventory is handled through the confirmed access route, loaded and transported to the destination. At arrival, the items are unloaded and placed in the agreed rooms or work areas, with unpacking completed only where it is included.

Before We Plan the Move

The Details We Need From You

A useful moving plan starts with practical information rather than a rough property label. Share the pickup and destination locations, property or business type, preferred date and the main furniture, cartons, equipment or stock being moved. Floors, lifts, stairs, parking and loading access can change how the job is prepared.

If packing, unpacking, loading support or storage is required, include that with the enquiry. Mention unusually large, fragile or specialist items separately so they can be reviewed before moving day.

Move & Property Details

Pickup and destination locations, property or business type and the preferred moving date provide the starting point.

Inventory & Access

Furniture, cartons, stock or equipment plus floors, lifts, stairs, parking and loading points help define the handling route.

Additional Services

Packing, unpacking, loading support and storage should be identified when those services are needed with the move.

Moving Preparation

What to Prepare Before Moving Day

You do not need to turn the week before a move into a complicated checklist. Focus on the things that affect access, timing and what the movers should handle. Confirm the addresses and entry arrangements, decide what is moving, keep personal essentials separate and make sure both properties can be accessed when needed.

Before, During and After: A Practical Moving Checklist

A short checklist helps keep the move organised without overcomplicating it. Use these reminders for the parts you control directly: access, personal essentials, destination readiness and a final check of what should move.

Before the Move

Confirm the details that affect timing, access and what the movers should handle.

On Moving Day

Keep the pickup property ready so the agreed inventory can be handled without unnecessary delays.

At the Destination

Make the destination accessible and give clear placement directions for the main items.

How It Works FAQ

Questions About
Planning and Moving Day

The exact workload changes with the property, inventory and services booked. These answers cover the information to provide, packing responsibility, access, personal items, destination handling and storage.
Share the pickup and destination locations, property or business type, preferred date, approximate inventory and access details. Also mention any packing, loading, unloading or storage requirements and identify unusually large, fragile or specialist items separately.
Only if packing is not included in the agreed service. If you book Packing & Unpacking, the agreed items can be prepared as part of that scope. Anything you are packing yourself should be ready before moving begins.
Share floor levels, lift or stair access, parking and practical loading points at both locations. Where a building or community has specific moving requirements, confirm those with the relevant management before the moving date.
Keep passports, personal documents, medication, valuables, keys, chargers and anything you need during the move with you. Also separate any items that are staying behind or that you intend to transport yourself.
The agreed moving inventory is unloaded and placed in the rooms or work areas you identify. Unpacking is completed only where it is included in the booked scope, so tell the team beforehand if you need unpacking support.
If the destination is not ready, storage can sit between collection and final delivery. Share the expected storage period and return-delivery details with the enquiry, and see our Storage Services for the available routes.
